Initial Layout Geometry
Cyan kettle and cup on a large orange background, an indigo shadow down the left, a violet base under the kettle, red tablecloth bands along the bottom and a round red-and-orange shape between kettle and cup. Four supply columns: red 20 over an ice-covered cyan bobbin, orange 50 over a question-mark bobbin, indigo 30 over orange 50 (linked to the second column), and orange 50 over red 20.
Goal / Target Area
Clear the orange background and indigo shadow, the red table bands and violet base, then the cyan kettle, cup and blue shading.
Opening Moves
Indigo 30 (third column), the linked orange 50 pair it uncovers, the next orange 50 that rises in the third column, then orange 50 from the fourth column; the track is full until the orange laps return.
Danger Zone
Storage fills completely with a linked cyan/orange pair, black 20 and a linked violet 2/red 0 pair while the track is empty; the fix is to re-send stored bobbins rather than take new ones.
Unique Mechanics
Ice-covered cyan bobbins show a countdown and thaw into cyan 20s. Question-mark bobbins hide their color until they reach the front. Link bars join bobbins (orange 50 pair, indigo 20 pair, violet/red, cyan/blue), and they travel and park together.

Storage: the five slots where returning bobbins park until their color is reachable again. Linked: bobbins joined by a bar leave together and take one track place each.

Quick Tips for Level 852

  • Treat the number on an ice-covered bobbin as a countdown: it thaws into a cyan 20, not a cyan 5.
  • If storage is full but the track is free, re-send what is in storage instead of drawing a new column bobbin.
  • The violet 2/red 0 pair needs the violet base under the kettle; keep it cycling instead of expecting it to clear early.

How to Solve Yarn Loop Level 852 — Full Solution

  1. Send indigo 30 from the third column first. The orange 50 under it rises and is linked to the orange 50 in the second column, so send that linked pair next. Another orange 50 rises in the third column; send it, then orange 50 from the fourth column to expose red 20. With four oranges and indigo aboard the track is full.
  2. The orange 50s fill the track and peel the orange background from the outside in. Let them lap and return; do not add more while the track is full.
  3. Watch the ice-covered cyan bobbins in the first and third columns. Their numbers count down as play continues and each one thaws into a normal cyan 20; send those cyan 20s on the kettle and cup edges once they thaw.
  4. Use indigo 20, violet 10 and black 20 as they surface for the dark shadow, the violet base under the kettle and the black kettle outline. Question-mark bobbins show their color only once they reach the front.
  5. Storage soon holds a linked cyan/orange pair, black 20 and a linked violet 2/red 0 pair: all five slots are full while the track is empty. Do not take a new column bobbin here.
  6. Instead re-send the stored bobbins. Cyan drops from 8 to 3 on that pass; send them again once more of the kettle edge is exposed and the cyan finishes while black 20 starts working.
  7. Send the linked indigo 20 pair for the left shadow, then blue 10, black 10s and the remaining orange 50s as the background breaks into tall columns either side of the kettle.
  8. Keep the violet 2/red 0 pair cycling; violet only finds its last stitches when the base under the kettle is exposed. Red 10/20 clear the tablecloth bands and the round red-and-orange shape between kettle and cup.
  9. Late in the level park black 5 and indigo 0 in storage while the linked cyan 20-blue 20 pair and the remaining orange 50 strip the last orange columns.
  10. A cyan 0, blue 0 and indigo 13 chain may park in storage; re-send it so indigo finishes the last shadow pixels down the kettle's left side.
  11. Finish the kettle body and handle with cyan 20, blue 20 and the final blue 10 and black 10 until the last cyan and blue specks are gone.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Counting the ice number as yarn and planning around a cyan 5 that never exists.
  • Drawing a new column bobbin while all five storage slots are occupied.
  • Sending the cyan bobbins at the orange background; they only work on the kettle, cup and leftover cyan edges.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the opening order for Yarn Loop Level 852?

Indigo 30 from the third column, then the linked orange 50 pair it uncovers, then orange 50 from the fourth column. Let those orange laps finish before sending more.

  • What are the icy bobbins with small numbers?

They are frozen cyan bobbins. The number counts down during play and each one thaws into a cyan 20 that you can send at the kettle.

  • Storage is full and nothing is moving. What now?

Re-send the stored cyan/orange, black and violet/red bobbins. On the first pass cyan drops from 8 to 3, and a later pass clears it once more kettle is exposed.
