Verified Board Notes

Initial Layout Geometry
A Viking longship with a red-and-white striped sail on a navy, blue, light-blue and white sea under a dark rainy sky; a blue curtain with a 50 counter covers the upper right. Five supply columns: navy 20, dark red 20, light blue 10, white 20, black 10 on top; gray 10, three crates marked 3 and black 50 below.
Goal / Target Area
Clear the red-and-white sail, the brown hull, mast and orange shields, the black sky with gray clouds and white rain, the four-tone sea, and the gray storm cloud that appears when the blue curtain lifts.
Opening Moves
Navy 20 from column one into the dark sea, then light blue 10 and the blue 20 under it from column three into the waves, then black 10 and black 50 from column five into the sky, white 20 into the rain and sail stripes, and gray 10 on the clouds.
Danger Zone
In the middle, dark red 18, a linked black pair and two grays fill all five storage slots and the bar turns red. Do not send anything new until one of them leaves storage. Storage fills again just after the curtain lifts.
Unique Mechanics
A blue curtain with a counter (50) covers the upper right and lifts at 0, revealing a gray storm cloud. Purple crates in the supply count down and open into bobbins. Linked pairs and chains (light blue with black, light blue-white-black) travel and park together.

Storage: the five slots where returning bobbins park until their color is reachable again. Linked: bobbins joined by a bar leave together and take one track place each.

Quick Tips for Level 860

  • Start with navy 20 on the dark sea, then send the light-blue 10 right after it. The curtain counter only drops while light blue pulls, so that first light blue takes it from 50 to 40.
  • Watch storage, not just the track: once all five slots are full the bar turns red, so only re-send parked bobbins until one clears.
  • Leave gray bobbins for the clouds; the biggest gray area sits under the curtain and only shows once the counter hits 0.

How to Solve Yarn Loop Level 860 — Full Solution

  1. The board is a Viking longship at night: a red-and-white striped square sail, a brown hull with orange shields, a dark sky with gray clouds and white rain dots, and a navy, blue, light-blue and white sea. A blue curtain with a 50 counter hangs over the upper right. Supply has five columns: navy 20, dark red 20, light blue 10, white 20 and black 10 on top, with gray 10, three purple crates marked 3 and black 50 below.
  2. Send navy 20 from the first column into the dark sea along the bottom. It runs down almost at once. Follow it with the light-blue 10 from the third column; as light blue pulls, the curtain counter falls from 50 to 40.
  3. Send the blue 20 under the light blue into the waves, then black 10 and black 50 from the fifth column into the night sky around the ship, then white 20 into the rain dots and the white sail stripes. Gray 10 trims the gray clouds at the top left.
  4. As the crates under the top row count down and open, keep sending the light-blue and blue bobbins they release into the foam and waves. The curtain counter keeps dropping while these sea colors work, settling at 20.
  5. Send dark red 20 into the red sail stripes and keep white running beside it. Dark red parks in storage with about 15 left whenever no red stripe faces the track; re-send it once white has opened more of the sail.
  6. Send brown 10s into the hull, mast and stern post as they surface. With dark red, white, gray 20 and brown all circling, the track fills up; let one of them run out before sending more.
  7. This is the tightest stretch: storage fills all five slots (dark red 18, a linked black pair and two grays) and turns red. Soon after, it fills again with dark red 18, a linked black-black-gray chain and a brown. Send nothing new from supply until a parked bobbin finds stitches and leaves storage.
  8. Clear storage by re-sending the parked brown, gray and black as the hull and sky open. Then send the linked light-blue and black pair; the curtain counter drops from 20 to 10.
  9. Keep pairing light blue with black on the sea and sky. When the counter reaches 0 the curtain lifts and shows a gray storm cloud over black sky with white rain dots in the upper right.
  10. Send the linked light-blue, white and black chain, gray 10s into the storm cloud and dark red 20 into the last sail stripes. Storage fills to five once more here, so wait for the chain to empty.
  11. Finish the sail and hull with the remaining white, dark-red and brown bobbins and the blue/white/black chain; the sea and shields thin to a few crumbs while gray keeps working the cloud.
  12. The last pieces are a few black and gray stitches in the old curtain area. Let the black and gray chains finish them.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Sending another supply bobbin while storage is full with dark red, the black pair and the grays.
  • Sending dark red before white has opened the sail, so it keeps returning to storage with most of its count.
  • Thinking the board is nearly done before the curtain lifts; a whole storm cloud and rain patch is still hidden.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Level 860 hard or super hard?

The level start screen labels Level 860 as Super Hard. Storage fills completely twice, and a curtain hides part of the picture until its counter runs out.

  • What is the blue curtain with a number on it?

It is a cover over the upper right. The number counts down during play (it moved while the sea colors were working) and the curtain lifts at 0 to show a gray storm cloud with black and white rain.

  • What are the purple boxes with 3 or 1 in the supply?

They are crates. Their number drops as you play and each one opens into a regular bobbin, such as a light-blue or blue 10.
