Yarn Loop level guide
Yarn Loop Level 865 Walkthrough
Clear the purple-sky boat scene by opening its cyan water bands, red hull and yellow cabin, then finish the last red hull pixels.
Verified Board Notes
- Initial Layout Geometry
- A red boat with maroon portholes, a yellow cabin with an orange-framed window and gray grille, and a white-and-red funnel sails on cyan, blue and navy waves under a purple sky with white clouds, black birds and a red heart.
- Goal / Target Area
- Clear the sky and waves, then the yellow cabin and the red hull, finishing with the last red hull pixels.
- Opening Moves
- Linked purple 50 / blue 20, then linked navy 30 / white 10, then red 20 for the heart and black 30 for the birds and outline.
- Danger Zone
- During the red 40 / orange 20 stage, its remainder, a yellow pair and a maroon leftover can fill all five storage slots while the track is also busy. Pull a parked piece back before sending new supply.
- Unique Mechanics
- Most supplies are linked pairs joined by a bar (purple/blue, navy/white, cyan/blue, orange/yellow, red/orange, black/cyan). The two halves launch, work and return together, even after one half reaches 0.
Storage: the five slots where returning bobbins park until their color is reachable again. Linked: bobbins joined by a bar leave together and take one track place each.
Quick Tips for Level 865
- Many supplies are linked pairs that launch together; check both colors still have a target before sending.
- Gray 10 only has the gray grille on the yellow cabin to pull, and that opens once the waves below the cabin clear; sent early, it just parks in storage.
- Keep an eye on storage as well as the track during the red 40 / orange 20 stage.
How to Solve Yarn Loop Level 865 — Full Solution
- Send the linked purple 50 / blue 20 pair first: purple works the sky and blue the waves. Then send the linked navy 30 / white 10 pair: navy pulls the dark bottom row of the sea and white takes the clouds. Their used-up halves come back to storage still joined.
- Send red 20 into the red heart in the sky and black 30 into the birds and the boat's black outline. They may not find much at first; park them and re-send them as the heart and outline open up. The heart is gone by the time red is down to single digits, and the leftovers end up as red 8 and black 17 in storage.
- Send the linked cyan 20 / blue 20 pair into the bright wave bands under the hull, then the light-blue 40 and the parked cyan/blue remainders. The sea shrinks from the bottom edge up.
- Once the track fills up while white, red and black finish the clouds and outline, wait for a piece to run out before taking the cyan 30 or the linked navy / red 10 pair.
- Clear the wave pixels on the lower right with the linked light-blue 25 / white 10 pair and the next blue. Gray 10 only finds the gray grille on the yellow cabin once the wave below it is gone; if it went out earlier, bring it back from storage then.
- Send the linked orange 10 / yellow 20 and cyan / yellow pairs into the orange window frame and the yellow cabin. The sky's left half and the funnel are still standing.
- Send white 10 into the white funnel, navy 18 into the last dark sea pixels, and purple 50 into the remaining sky. Maroon goes into the dark portholes on the hull.
- Send the linked red 40 / orange 20 pair into the red hull. Watch storage here: the pair's remainders, a yellow/light-blue pair and a maroon 3 can fill all five storage slots, so take a parked piece back onto the track before you send anything new.
- Send the linked white 30 / black 30 pair and the linked black 30 / cyan 20 pair into the last outline, cloud and wave stitches, then the next purple into the leftover sky beside the cabin.
- With only the hull, a purple strip and a few yellow cabin pixels left, send yellow 20, the linked purple 50 / maroon 10 pair and the parked orange remainders. The track sits full for most of this, so send the next piece only after one runs out.
- Send the last linked red pair (one bright red, one darker red) and then the last black 30 into the final hull and outline pixels; the last red hull pixel ends the level.
Colors in this level:
Purple, White, Navy, Blue, Light blue, Cyan, Red, Maroon, Black, Yellow, Orange, Gray
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Sending a linked pair when only one of its colors has a reachable stitch.
- Letting the red 30 / orange 14 remainder, a yellow pair and a maroon remainder fill all five storage slots.
- Treating the board as finished when only purple sky and the hull are left; the red hull and black outline still need the last linked red pair and black 30.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which colors open Level 865?
The linked purple 50 / blue 20 pair and then the linked navy 30 / white 10 pair, followed by red 20 for the heart and black 30 for the birds and outline.
When should gray be used?
Gray 10 has only the gray grille on the yellow cabin to pull, and the grille opens once the waves below the cabin are gone. If you send it earlier, it parks in storage with 10 left until then.
How do I keep storage from filling up in Level 865?
During the red 40 / orange 20 stage, that pair's remainders, a yellow/light-blue pair and a maroon 3 can take all five storage slots. Pull a parked piece back onto the track before sending new supply, and only send a linked pair when both of its colors have a reachable stitch.
