Yarn Loop level guide
Yarn Loop Level 876 Walkthrough
Clear a clownfish swimming above a blue tang on blue-and-navy striped water, feeding a countdown crate in column 3 and handling linked bobbin pairs and chains that cycle until their color is exposed.
Verified Board Notes
- Initial Layout Geometry
- The board is split by a cyan line: an orange and white clownfish on striped blue water above, and a blue tang below. Track and storage start empty. Five supply columns: olive 10 over black 10, cyan 20 over a hidden bobbin, blue 30 over a crate marked 5, black 20 over a hidden bobbin, and blue 50 over yellow 10. Lines link some bobbins to the ones beneath them.
- Goal / Target Area
- The lower scene with the blue tang (navy body, cyan outline, yellow tail and eye) clears first. Then comes the striped water around the orange, white and black clownfish, then the cyan line between the scenes, and the last orange and blue pixels of the clownfish.
- Opening Moves
- Send blue 30 (column 3) and blue 50 (column 5) for the water stripes; the crate under blue 30 drops a black 20 and counts down to 4. Then send black 20 and cyan 20 for the dark stripe lines and the tang outline. Re-send the buffered blue 12 when more water is exposed.
- Danger Zone
- Mid-level, a white 7 linked to a spent black 0 and a blue 0 / cyan 0 / white 7 chain keep returning to storage, because the clownfish's white bands are still buried in water stripes. With the track full, sending another group blocks everything; send singles until the orange body opens.
- Unique Mechanics
- Countdown crate: the crate in column 3 starts at 5 and drops a new bobbin onto the column each time the top one leaves, counting down until it is empty. Linked bobbins: lines join bobbins (black 10 with white 10, yellow 10 with the bobbin below it, multi-bobbin blue, cyan and white chains). They move as one group, and spent members stay attached as zeros until all have emptied.
Storage: the five slots where returning bobbins park until their color is reachable again. Linked: bobbins joined by a bar leave together and take one track place each.
Quick Tips for Level 876
- Use column 3 often early; the crate refills it four more times with stripe colors.
- Clear the blue tang scene before the clownfish. The clownfish's white bands open last, so white bobbins will wait.
- Before sending a linked chain, count the free track places and storage slots it will need if it comes back.
How to Solve Yarn Loop Level 876 — Full Solution
- Open with the two blues: send blue 30 from column 3 and blue 50 from column 5. They start peeling the blue water stripes around both fish. When blue 30 leaves, the crate under it (marked 5) drops a black 20 onto column 3 and its count falls to 4.
- Send the black 20s from columns 3 and 4 and cyan 20 from column 2 for the dark stripe lines and the cyan outline of the blue tang. A partly used blue 12 may drop into storage; re-send it once more water is exposed.
- Keep feeding column 3. Every time its top bobbin leaves, the crate drops another (blue 20, blue 20, black 20) and counts down, and when it breaks a navy 20 takes its place, so treat column 3 as the main source of stripe colors early on.
- Send olive 10 from column 1 and the yellow 10 in column 5 when the tang's yellow tail and eye are on an exposed edge. The linked black 10 / white 10 pair from column 1 also comes out here.
- Work the lower half first: navy and black for the tang's dark body and outline, cyan 10s for its bright edge, blue for the stripes between. Most of the tang goes before the clownfish body opens, though a few navy pieces of its body hang on for a long time.
- Watch the linked groups. A white 7 tied to a spent black 0, and a blue 0 / cyan 0 / white 7 chain, keep cycling between storage and track because white has nothing to pull until the clownfish's white bands open.
- This is the danger stretch: those groups hold storage slots while the track fills up. Send single bobbins only (orange 20, blue 40, navy 30, cyan 10) and wait for a returning group before sending the next.
- Once the water around the clownfish is thin, send orange 20s and orange 30s at its body. The white remainders and the black 16 then finally have bands and outlines to pull, and the stuck groups empty.
- Clear the long cyan line that splits the two scenes and the last navy and blue water with blue 40s, navy 30s and blue 20s from the bottom of the supply.
- Finish the clownfish head and fins with the last orange 30, white 10 and black 30. Orange 2 and white 0 wait in storage for the final orange stitches.
- Re-send the stored orange 2 once the final orange stitches open; the last orange and blue pixels empty the board.
Colors in this level:
Blue, Navy, Cyan, Black, White, Orange, Yellow, Olive
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Sending the white-linked chains before any clownfish white band is exposed. They just cycle back with zeros attached.
- Stacking a new group onto a full track while two linked groups already occupy storage.
- Leaving the cyan dividing line for the very end without a cyan bobbin to spare.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the box marked 5 in Level 876?
It is a countdown crate. Each time the top of column 3 is sent, it drops another bobbin and its number falls by one until it is empty.
Why does a white 7 keep coming back in Level 876?
It is linked to spent bobbins and has no exposed white to pull. It empties once the clownfish's white bands are reached.
Which fish should I clear first?
The blue tang at the bottom, with navy, black, cyan, blue and yellow. The clownfish and its water stripes come after.
