Initial Layout Geometry
A white horse head faces right with black outlines, pink inner ears and pink cheek marks. A blue and sky blue mane covers the top and runs down the right, a yellow star sits on the forehead, and a red and dark red mane flows down the left into yellow and orange tips at the lower left. A zipper with a purple pull and blue teeth runs along the lower edge of the blue mane, just above the star. Four supply columns show orange 10, red 20, dark red 20 and yellow 20 on top, with gray '?' bobbins under column one; storage is empty and the track is empty.
Goal / Target Area
Clear the red and dark red mane down the left and the yellow and orange tips below it first, then the blue and sky blue mane, the pink ears and the black outline, and last the white face, the yellow star and the stitches around the zipper.
Opening Moves
Dark red 20 (column three), red 20 (column two), yellow 20 (column four) and orange 10 (column one), then black 30 (column four), blue 20 (column two) and sky blue 30 (column three). Column one's '?' turns into a pink 10, and yellow 20 comes back once with a few stitches.
Danger Zone
Right after the last supply bobbin leaves, storage peaks at three leftovers, yellow 12, black 7 and blue 2, with one free track place. Storage never turns red here; re-send each leftover as soon as a place opens.
Unique Mechanics
Gray '?' bobbins show their color only at the front of a column; column one's first is a pink 10. A zipper with a purple pull and blue teeth runs along the lower edge of the blue mane; its teeth shorten over the level and it disappears late. Small teal '?' squares show up inside the face as the stitches over them are removed, first at the mouth line, later in the blue mane and the star. They outlast the zipper and clear during the last few sends; no send is aimed at them. A rubber duck on some bobbins is a collectible and does not change play. No link bars, crates or metal bobbins appear.

Storage: the five slots where returning bobbins park until their color is reachable again.

Quick Tips for Level 901

  • Column three's dark red 20 and column two's red 20 belong on the red mane down the left side. Send both first, then column four's yellow 20 and column one's orange 10 for the yellow and orange tips at the lower left.
  • The gray '?' bobbins show their color only when they reach the front of a column. Column one's first '?' turns into a pink 10 as soon as the orange 10 above it leaves; use it on the pink ears and cheek marks.
  • The track is full many times from the middle of the level on. Wait for a bobbin to empty before sending again, and re-send small leftovers such as a pink 1 at once so storage stays nearly empty.

How to Solve Yarn Loop Level 901 — Full Solution

  1. Send column three's dark red 20 and column two's red 20 onto the red mane down the left side. Follow with yellow 20 from column four and orange 10 from column one for the yellow and orange tips at the lower left.
  2. Column one's '?' turns into a pink 10 once the orange 10 leaves. Send black 30 from column four next for the black outline. Yellow 20 comes back once with a few stitches; re-send it straight away.
  3. Send blue 20 from column two and sky blue 30 from column three for the blue mane on top and down the right. Then send the pink 10 for the pink ears and cheek marks, and the red 20s that surface below for more of the left mane.
  4. White 50s start to surface under the top row. Send them on the white face as it opens beside the thinning mane. One early white 50 comes back with 40 still on it; park it and re-send it once more of the face is open.
  5. From here the track is full again and again. Send nothing new while it is full; when a bobbin empties, re-send small leftovers such as a pink 1 before you take the next 20 from supply.
  6. Keep feeding the blue 20s, red 20s and dark red 20s as they surface until the left mane and the top of the blue mane are gone. Column four's white 40 can wait at the front while the white 50s work the face.
  7. Send the yellow 20s and the yellow 10 for the star on the forehead, and the black 20s for the outline across the face. Small yellow, orange and pink leftovers park now and then; re-send them one at a time.
  8. Send column two's sky blue 10 for the sky blue stitches beside the zipper. The zipper and its purple pull disappear soon after, leaving the star, a little blue and the last white stitches near it.
  9. Supply narrows to a black 20, a sky blue 20 and a last white 50. Send black 20 for the last outline stitches, then sky blue 20 and white 50 for the remaining blue and white around the star.
  10. Re-send the yellow, black and blue leftovers from storage as places open, the yellow and black first. The blue 2 is the last send, and the white 50 already on the track pulls the final white stitches.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Sending white bobbins before the mane around the face has thinned; an early white 50 comes back with 40 still on it and takes a storage slot.
  • Taking new bobbins from supply while the track is full instead of re-sending the small leftovers first, which lets three leftovers stack up in storage near the end.
  • Waiting for the zipper to open before working the face; it only disappears late, after most of the mane and face are gone.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does the zipper above the horse's star do in Yarn Loop Level 901?

Its blue teeth get shorter as the level goes on, and the zipper with its purple pull disappears late, once most of the mane and face are gone. You do not send anything special at it; keep clearing the picture around it.

  • What is under the '?' bobbin in column one of Level 901?

It turns into a pink 10 when the orange 10 in front of it leaves. Keep it for the pink ears and the pink cheek marks; other '?' bobbins in the supply also show their color only at the front.

  • Why does the track keep filling up in Level 901?

Many 20s and 50s are on the track at once while the white face is still covered, so bobbins circle longer. When the track is full, send nothing new; re-send the small leftovers in storage as soon as a bobbin empties.
