Verified Board Notes

Initial Layout Geometry
Two red flip-flops with purple straps and lime toe-post marks lie on beige and gray sand inside a thin cyan frame line. Outside it, light-blue water and gray foam cover the top left and orange sand fills the rest. Five supply columns show blue 30, blue 30, beige 30, blue 10 and orange 50 above a row of hidden '?' bobbins.
Goal / Target Area
Clear everything outside the cyan frame first so the frame disappears, then unstitch the inner sand, the red soles, the purple straps and the lime toe-post marks.
Opening Moves
Send the blue 10 and both blue 30s on the water, then the gray 30s on the foam and the orange 50 on the outer sand. Reveal the hidden lower-row bobbins before planning around them.
Danger Zone
A red 30 sent while the cyan frame still surrounds the flip-flops returns to storage untouched; with orange, beige and gray leftovers also parked, storage can fill to four of five places.
Unique Mechanics
The cyan frame line keeps the inner picture untouched until all water, foam and sand outside it are gone. The lower supply row starts hidden as '?' bobbins that reveal when the bobbin above leaves.

Track N/5: free places on the moving track: 0/5 means the track is full, 5/5 means it is empty. Storage: the five slots where returning bobbins park until their color is reachable again.

Quick Tips for Level 897

  • Spend the opening on blue, gray, orange and beige; red has nothing to unstitch until the cyan frame is gone.
  • Read each '?' bobbin after it reveals before deciding whether it can work right away.
  • Save the purple and lime bobbins for straps and toe-post marks that already touch cleared space.

How to Solve Yarn Loop Level 897 — Full Solution

  1. Send the blue 10 from the fourth supply column, then both blue 30s from the first two columns to strip the light-blue water across the top and left. The picture is a pair of red flip-flops with purple straps and lime toe-post marks inside a thin cyan frame line, surrounded by water, gray foam and orange sand.
  2. Send the gray 30s that rise under the blues onto the gray foam, then the orange 50 onto the outer sand on the right and bottom. The track is down to one free place here, so let the blues drain before adding more.
  3. The lower row starts as hidden '?' bobbins that reveal as the ones above them leave. Check each revealed color, then send the beige 30 and the gray 10s and 30s on the beige and gray sand outside the frame. The track fills up once in this phase, which is fine while every bobbin aboard has an open target.
  4. Leave the red 30 that surfaces in the third column alone. Sent while the cyan frame line still surrounds the flip-flops, it circles without unstitching anything and comes back to storage with all 30 left.
  5. Keep feeding blue, gray, beige and orange into the outer field, using storage returns before new supply bobbins. The cyan border turns solid once the right-side sand is gone, and nothing inside the frame changes while it is there.
  6. Clear the last light-blue water on the left and the gray foam strip along the top. When nothing outside the frame remains, the cyan line disappears and the beige and gray sand inside it becomes workable.
  7. Relaunch the red 30 from storage along with the orange and beige leftovers. Red now eats into the flip-flop soles while orange and beige clear the sand between and around the pair.
  8. Send purple once a strap edge touches cleared space (the purple 20, the 10s and the purple 30 that appears later), and the lime 10 once a lime toe-post mark is exposed. These short bobbins cover only the straps and toe posts.
  9. Work the red 40 and the remaining red 30 on the soles, alternating with the orange 40 and gray or beige returns. A full track near the end is expected while red, purple and orange share the track; wait for one to drain before sending more.
  10. The last supply column holds red 40 over purple 10; send them for the final sole and strap pixels, and let the last single red, orange and purple stitches drain.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Sending a red 30 early; it returns to storage with all 30 left and blocks a slot.
  • Ignoring the outer sand on the right, which keeps the cyan frame in place.
  • Treating a 0/5 reading as an empty track; 0/5 means all five places are taken.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the picture in Level 897?

A pair of red flip-flops with purple straps and small lime marks at the toe posts, lying on sand inside a cyan frame, with water, foam and orange sand around it.

  • When should I start sending red?

After the cyan frame line disappears. That happens once the water, foam and sand outside it are gone; before that, red circles the track and returns full.

  • What are the black bobbins with question marks?

Hidden bobbins in the lower supply row. Each reveals its real color when the bobbin above it is sent, so check the revealed color before using it.
