Yarn Loop Level 899 Walkthrough
Unstitch a sleepy orange face from its light and dark purple sunburst, then its red hair, lime and yellow tufts, beige collar and the silver bead rows across the lower face, timing several linked pairs as they surface.
Verified Board Notes
- Initial Layout Geometry
- A round, sleepy orange and peach face with closed eyes and pink cheeks sits on a light and dark purple sunburst. Red and dark red hair wraps the right side, lime and yellow tufts sit on top, rows of silver beads cross the lower face and a beige collar runs along the bottom. Four supply columns show lavender 40, pink 40, purple 40 and orange 30 on top, with '?' bobbins under columns one and three; storage starts with five empty slots and the track is empty.
- Goal / Target Area
- Clear the purple sunburst, the red and dark red hair, the lime and yellow tufts and the beige collar, then the silver bead rows and the orange patch around them on the lower face.
- Opening Moves
- Lavender 40 (column one) and purple 40 (column three) first; column three then shows a brown 10 linked to red 50. Follow with the beige 40, lime 20 and second purple 40 from column one, column four's lavender 30, then pink 40 and peach 40 from column two, which fill the track.
- Danger Zone
- Storage fills completely mid-level: pink 27, red 14, the brown 0 / red 19 pair and peach 6 take all five slots and the outline turns red. Later the lime 0 / maroon 16 pair and a yellow 4 hold three slots for a long stretch. Re-send parked pieces before taking new supply.
- Unique Mechanics
- Columns one and three hide '?' bobbins that show their color at the front. Several bobbins are joined by link bars and travel and park as one unit, even when one of them reads 0. The silver bead rows are metal knit that only the striped metal bobbins remove.
Storage: the five slots where returning bobbins park until their color is reachable again. Linked: bobbins joined by a bar leave together and take one track place each.
Quick Tips for Level 899
- Read the link bars in the supply before you send anything. Brown 10 to red 50, maroon 40 to lime 10, lavender 40 to purple 30, lime 10 to orange 40, beige 50 to peach 40 and pink 40 to peach 40 all board the track together.
- A linked bobbin showing 0 still rides with its partner. Re-send the pair from storage for the partner's count instead of treating it as finished.
- The last striped metal 10 can sit in supply until the end; the final bead studs are buried in the lower orange patch and only open up once that patch thins.
How to Solve Yarn Loop Level 899 — Full Solution
- Before any move the supply has four columns: lavender 40, pink 40, purple 40 and orange 30 on top, with '?' bobbins hidden under columns one and three. Send lavender 40 from column one and purple 40 from column three onto the sunburst. Column three's '?' surfaces as a brown 10 tied by a link bar to the red 50 at the bottom of column four. Column four's lavender 30, and later a lavender 50, also go onto the sunburst as they surface.
- Send the beige 40 revealed in column one for the beige collar along the bottom, then the lime 20 and the second purple 40 that surface in the same column. Lime starts on the lime tuft at the top of the head. It comes back with a few stitches left; leave it in storage until more of the tuft is exposed, then re-send it.
- Send pink 40 from column two for the cheeks and face, then the peach 40 that follows it. With peach aboard the track is full and small lime, purple and peach leftovers park briefly in storage; send the red 30 from column two and then the orange 30 from column four once places open.
- When the brown 10 and red 50 both reach the front, send the linked pair. Brown 10 empties quickly while red 50 works the red areas. The pair comes back as brown 0 and red 45 and keeps returning with a smaller red count; re-send it whenever places open.
- A few returns later storage fills completely: pink 27, red 14, the brown 0 / red 19 pair and peach 6 take all five slots and the outline turns red. Take nothing new from supply; re-send the parked pieces as their colors reach the edge.
- Send the striped metal bobbins onto the silver bead rows: a metal 10 and the metal 20s from column four, and a metal 10 from column two. They are the only bobbins that remove the beads, and the first metal 10 quickly falls to 3.
- Column two's maroon 40 is linked to the lime 10 hidden under column three. The pair first comes back with lime 5; after a re-send it settles in storage as lime 0 and maroon 16 and holds two slots for a long stretch while maroon has little to pull.
- Send the three yellow 10s for the yellow tufts at the upper right, one from column one and two from column three. One parks at 4, so the lime 0 / maroon 16 pair and yellow 4 hold three storage slots for a long stretch while other leftovers rotate through; keep at least one slot free.
- Send the linked lavender 40 and purple 30 for the remaining purple corners, then the linked lime 10 and orange 40 for the last lime pixels and the orange face edge. Feed the metal 20s from column four into the bead rows between them.
- Re-send the lime 0 and maroon 16 pair as places open. It comes back with maroon at 5, then at 4, and clears on the following send.
- Send the linked beige 50 and peach 40 on the collar and face; this pair also parks once as beige 0 and peach 16, so re-send it. Then send the linked pink 40 and peach 40. It parks first as pink 10 and peach 34, then several times as pink 0 with a shrinking peach count; keep re-sending it while face pixels remain.
- Supply ends with orange 50 and metal 10. Send orange 50 on the lower orange patch, then metal 10 on the last bead studs inside it; the metal takes the final beads and leaves still showing 1, and the orange 50 takes out the last orange stitch.
Colors in this level:
Purple, Orange, Peach, Pink, Red, Yellow, Green, Beige, Brown, Silver
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Sending the maroon 40 and lime 10 pair while maroon has little to pull, which leaves maroon 16 and lime 0 blocking two storage slots for a long time.
- Writing off a pair because one bobbin reads 0; the brown 0 with red 45 and the pink 0 with peach 18 still carry live partners.
- Expecting red, orange or peach bobbins to clear the silver beads; only the striped metal 10s and 20s remove them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does a bobbin at 0 keep coming back from storage in Yarn Loop Level 899?
It is linked. The brown 10 empties fast but stays joined to the red 50, and the lime 10 stays joined to the maroon 40, so the pair returns as one unit until the partner's count is used up.
Which bobbins remove the silver beads in Level 899?
Only the striped metal bobbins: the metal 20s and a metal 10 from column four, plus a metal 10 from column two. Plain red, orange or peach bobbins pass over the bead rows without taking any.
What do the question mark bobbins in columns one and three hide?
They show their color when they reach the front. Column three's first '?' is a brown 10 linked to the red 50 in column four; column one reveals beige 40, lime 20 and a second purple 40 in turn.
