Initial Layout Geometry
A smiling monkey in a blue-and-white striped nightcap and red shirt, with a peach face and maroon ears, sits on tan ground with green grass below. The cyan sky has white snow dots and small gray pins. The supply has five columns: green 20, dark green 20, cyan 50, tan 30 and blue 20 in front, with three question-mark bobbins, red 40 and black 30 behind.
Goal / Target Area
Strip the sky, the grass and the ground, split the red shirt, then clear the nightcap, the ears and the face down to a last skin pixel.
Opening Moves
Cyan 50 into the sky, green 20 and dark green 20 into the grass, the second cyan 50, then peach 50 and tan 30 into the ground before red 40 starts on the shirt. The navy 20 behind dark green ends up parked in storage if it goes out this early.
Danger Zone
With two red 40s, peach 50 and white 20 all running mid-game, the track sits full. The question-mark bobbins can't be planned ahead, so parked leftovers pile up in storage.
Unique Mechanics
Question-mark bobbins hide their color until they reach the front. At the start they fill the second row of the first three columns; the first to show is light blue 10 under the opening cyan 50, and later reveals include cyan, peach and white.

Storage: the five slots where returning bobbins park until their color is reachable again.

Quick Tips for Level 881

  • Open the cyan sky with the two cyan 50s before committing red to the shirt.
  • Read each question-mark bobbin's color once it is revealed; don't plan around a guess.
  • Save peach for the face until the shirt and the sky around it have opened.

How to Solve Yarn Loop Level 881 — Full Solution

  1. Send cyan 50 from the third column first. It strips a big piece of the cyan sky around the cap, and the hidden bobbin under it turns out to be light blue 10. Then send green 20 from the first column and dark green 20 from the second column into the green grass along the bottom. Navy 20 comes up next in column 2; if you send it this early, it ends up parked in storage.
  2. Send the second cyan 50 that comes up in the first column into the rest of the open sky. Then send peach 50 and tan 30 into the tan ground at the monkey's feet and the skin pixels on its edge.
  3. Send red 40 into the red shirt once the ground beside it is open. It runs a long time; park the navy leftover in storage while the shirt is pulling.
  4. The second row of the first three columns is hidden question-mark bobbins. Each shows its color only when it reaches the front, so read it before you send it. The first reveal is the light blue 10 under the opening cyan 50; later reveals include cyan, peach and white.
  5. Send the second red 40 and white 20 into the shirt and the white snow dots, then light blue 10 and maroon 20 into the cap edge and the maroon ear rim. Expect a full track here and bring back only the parked pieces whose color is exposed.
  6. Send peach 50 into the face and snout when the shirt has split, then dark green, navy and short red pieces into the grass tufts, the cap's dark stripes and the last shirt column.
  7. Send blue 20 and navy 20 into the striped nightcap, and white 10/20 into its white stripes. The pom-pom and the right side of the cap go first.
  8. Send the cyan 50 revealed under the white into the remaining sky on the left, then black 30 into the eyes, mouth and dark cap pixels. Light blue takes the last cap edge.
  9. Send peach 40 into the face once the sky around it is mostly gone, then maroon 10s into the ear rims and the dark nose. Park the maroon 8 until the last ear pixels show.
  10. Clear the leftovers from the cap and face with the small maroon, black, tan, white and blue pieces as their pixels open, bringing back parked pieces one at a time. The red 40 from the last column takes the remaining shirt pixels.
  11. Send the final peach 40 into the last skin pixel under the face.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Sending a newly revealed question-mark bobbin without checking whether its color has an exposed target.
  • Sending both red 40s while the shirt is still covered by ground and grass.
  • Stopping when the face looks gone; a single skin pixel needs the last peach 40.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How should I handle the question-mark bobbins in Level 881?

Treat the question-mark bobbins in the first three columns as unknown. Once the bobbin in front is sent and the color shows, send it only if that color has an exposed target.

  • What opens Level 881?

Cyan 50 into the sky, then green 20 and dark green 20 into the grass, then the second cyan 50, peach 50 and tan 30.

  • Why does navy end up stuck in storage early in Level 881?

Navy 20 comes up in column 2 right after dark green 20, but its work is on the striped nightcap, which opens later. If you send it early it parks in storage, so leave the leftover there and bring it back with blue 20 once the cap is exposed.
