Initial Layout Geometry
A green palm leans across a gray and beige sky with white clouds at the top right. A peach panel stamped 60 sits on the right, a dark purple band and light/dark blue water stripes cross the middle, and brown sand with a silver bead cluster fills the bottom. Four supply columns start with dark brown 30, peach 30, light blue 30 and purple 30 on top.
Goal / Target Area
Open the water stripes, shore band and metal bead cluster first, then peel the gray and beige sky so the peach panel counts down and the green palm can finally be stripped.
Opening Moves
Open with dark brown 30, which leaves on its own, then light blue 30, brown 30 and purple 30, then beige 40, peach 30, the metal 10 and black 50. The track fills up; the metal 10 may return to storage untouched and needs a relaunch before the silver bead cluster clears.
Danger Zone
The linked gray 30, peach 30 and white 10 need three free places to launch. They can come back first as gray 0, peach 9 and white 2, then as gray 0, peach 0 and white 2, holding three of the five storage slots while other bobbins still need room.
Unique Mechanics
A metal 10 bobbin is required for the silver bead cluster in the sand, and the peach panel stamped 60 counts down as peach stitches are removed. Linked bobbins (gray, peach and white, and later peach, blue and navy) enter the track together.

Track N/5: free places on the moving track: 0/5 means the track is full, 5/5 means it is empty. Storage: the five slots where returning bobbins park until their color is reachable again. Linked: bobbins joined by a bar leave together and take one track place each.

Quick Tips for Level 896

  • Get the metal 10 onto the track early; nothing else removes the silver bead cluster in the lower-right sand.
  • Launch the linked gray, peach and white trio only from an empty or nearly empty track, since all three enter at once.
  • Keep the green 50 in reserve until the gray and beige sky around the palm is gone.

How to Solve Yarn Loop Level 896 — Full Solution

  1. Open with the dark-brown 30 at the top of the first supply column; it leaves the track on its own without landing in storage. Then send the light-blue 30 at the top of the third column, the brown 30 that rises under it and the purple 30 from the fourth column. Light blue starts on the wave stripes while brown and purple work the lower picture, leaving two track places free.
  2. Send the beige 40 that surfaces in the third column, then the peach 30 and the striped metal 10 from the second column, then the black 50 in the fourth column. The metal 10 is the only bobbin that unstitches the silver bead cluster in the lower-right sand, so get it aboard early. The track is now full.
  3. The metal 10 can come back to storage untouched while the sand around the beads is still covered. Relaunch it from storage as soon as a place frees; on its second trip it unstitches the bead cluster, and the peach panel stamped 60 begins counting down. Leave other returns in storage until their color has an open edge again.
  4. As places free up, send the dark blue 20 and the next light-blue 30 to the water. Keep cycling blue until the light-blue stripes are gone and only a thin dark-blue line crosses the middle; the peach panel reads about 53 by this point.
  5. Do not lean on green yet. The green 40 sent in this phase only trims the frond tips that touch cleared space and comes back to storage, because the leaves are still surrounded by gray and beige sky.
  6. When the track is completely empty, send the linked gray 30, peach 30 and white 10. Linked bobbins enter together and need three free places. Gray peels the sky behind the fronds, peach drives the panel down into the 30s and white removes the clouds at the top right.
  7. The linked trio usually comes back once with peach still unfinished (gray 0, peach 9, white 2); relaunch it right away. It then returns as gray 0, peach 0, white 2 and holds three storage slots while you send black 50, green 40 and purple 20 on the outline, frond edges and shore band. Relaunch it once more to finish the white stitches; the peach panel is near 28 by then.
  8. Send the linked peach 30, blue 20 and navy 20 once the track has room for all three. Peach takes the panel from 28 down to 11 and off the board, while blue and navy clear the last water dashes under the shore.
  9. With most of the sky gone, send the gray 30, beige 30, navy 10, white 10 and blue 20 as they reach the front of the supply. Gray and beige clear the pale gaps between the fronds; navy and blue finish the dashed water line, and brown leftovers pick off the scattered sand blocks.
  10. Keep the green 50 in the supply until the palm stands alone; it is the last supply bobbin. Send the black 50 and beige bobbins on the trunk outline and pale cells first, then launch green on its own to strip the fronds.
  11. The final pixels are a few green and gray stitches at the center of the palm. Let green and the last returns drain them.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Sending green while the fronds are still boxed in by sky; it trims a few tips and returns to storage.
  • Forgetting that linked bobbins with 0 left still occupy storage slots until the whole group finishes.
  • Leaving the metal 10 in the supply, or forgetting to relaunch it from storage after an untouched first trip, so the silver beads block the sand around them.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does the peach box marked 60 do in Level 896?

It is a peach panel whose number drops as peach stitches are removed. The peach 30 bobbins and the linked sets with peach bring it down until it leaves the board.

  • How do I clear the silver beads in the sand?

Send the striped metal 10 from the second supply column in the opening wave. It can come back to storage untouched while the sand is still covered; relaunch it, and on that second trip it unstitches the bead cluster.

  • Why does my track read 0/5 early on?

0/5 means all five track places are taken. After the dark-brown opener leaves, the light blue, brown, purple, beige, peach, metal and black sends fill the track; wait for those bobbins to drain or return before sending the next one.
