Yarn Loop level guide
Yarn Loop Level 869 Walkthrough
Clear a pixel Batman portrait: gray cowl and suit, orange face, yellow belt and emblem, and a cyan bat signal on a navy night sky.
Verified Board Notes
- Initial Layout Geometry
- A Batman figure fills the board: gray cowl with pale eye slits, orange face with a red band across its top edge, between the eye slits and the orange, gray and light gray suit with a black-and-yellow chest emblem and yellow belt, blue cape bits at the shoulders and a cyan bat signal in the upper right of a navy sky. The supply has four columns, two numbered purple crates in the middle and two ice-covered bobbins on the sides.
- Goal / Target Area
- The navy background on the right and top opens first, then the suit and belt from the bottom up, then the orange face, and finally the cowl, eyes and chin.
- Opening Moves
- Blue 10 from the top of the right column, then the linked dark gray 40 / navy 50 pair, then cyan 10 and the linked black 40 / light gray 10 pair while the ice counters tick down.
- Danger Zone
- Late in the level the navy 4 / cyan 0 pair, the blue 1 / orange 0 pair and a gray 5 fill all five storage slots while the head is still on the board. Let a track piece run out and send a parked piece back out before you take anything new.
- Unique Mechanics
- Two ice-covered bobbins count down from 13 as play goes on and thaw into navy 50s. Two numbered crates push a new bobbin up each time the spot above them empties. Many bobbins are linked pairs that launch and return together.
Storage: the five slots where returning bobbins park until their color is reachable again. Linked: bobbins joined by a bar leave together and take one track place each.
Quick Tips for Level 869
- Keep bobbins moving early: the ice counters only tick down while you play, and the thawed navy 50s are what open the right side.
- Treat the navy 4 / cyan 0 pair as storage clutter until the cowl's eye pixels are exposed.
- Use the crate bobbins (yellow 10, black 30) as cheap sends while the ice counters run down.
How to Solve Yarn Loop Level 869 — Full Solution
- Send the blue 10 at the top of the right supply column first; it picks off the small blue cape pixels at Batman's shoulders. Then send the dark gray 40 that is linked by a bar to the navy 50 below it. Navy pulls the navy background strip on the right while gray works the cowl edge, and the pair comes back to storage still joined as gray 28 / navy 0.
- Send the cyan 10 from the left column into the bat signal at the upper right. Then send the linked black 40 / light gray 10 pair; light gray takes the pale suit highlights. Black takes the black bat shapes on the chest and in the signal. Progress is slow here because only the outer edge of the picture is reachable.
- Watch the two ice-covered bobbins, one in the left column and one in the right. Each starts with a 13 on the ice, and the number ticks down as you keep sending and cycling bobbins. Keep the track busy with small pieces until both reach 0; the ice shatters and each one turns into a navy 50.
- The two purple crates in the middle columns start at 4. Each time the spot above a crate empties, it pushes a fresh bobbin up (yellow 10 and black 30 come out first) and its number drops. It breaks open when spent and the column below it moves up.
- Send the two thawed navy 50s into the large navy background down the right side and across the top. With that background thinning, the bottom of the gray suit and the yellow belt become reachable.
- Clear the suit from the bottom up with the dark gray 20, 30 and 40 bobbins and the light gray 30, and use yellow 10s on the belt and the chest emblem. A dark gray 23 remainder may park in storage here. Leave it there until more of the cowl is exposed.
- Send the linked navy 50 / orange 20 pairs next. Orange starts eating the orange face while navy removes the background behind the left cowl ear. Follow with the linked cyan 10 / dark gray 30 pair and the bright cyan 20s on the rest of the bat signal.
- Use red 10 on the red band between the cowl's eyes and the orange face, and on the red pixels along its left edge, then the brown bobbins on the brown pixels hanging below the belt. Blue and orange leftovers come back as small linked pairs such as blue 1 / orange 0.
- Storage is the real limit in this level. A navy 4 / cyan 0 pair keeps returning because its last navy pixels are inside the cowl's eyes. Together with gray 5 and the blue 1 / orange 0 pair, it fills all five storage slots. When that happens, wait for a piece on the track to run out and send a parked piece back out before you take anything new from supply.
- Once only the head is left, cycle the dark gray and black remainders and the light gray 20 around the cowl and the pale eye slits. Send the navy 4 / cyan 0 pair again once the eye pixels are exposed, and it finally empties.
- Finish with the linked red 10 / gray 40 pair and the last orange 20. Red takes the last red pixels on the left edge of the face, gray takes the remaining cowl ear and orange takes the chin.
Colors in this level:
Navy, Cyan, Blue, Gray, Light gray, Black, Yellow, Orange, Red, Brown
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Expecting the ice-covered bobbins to be cyan; they thaw into navy 50s.
- Filling the fifth storage slot with a new supply bobbin while the navy/cyan and blue/orange pairs are already parked.
- Sending the last orange 20 before the chin is exposed, which leaves it circling with nothing to hit.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the ice bobbins in Level 869?
They are frozen bobbins with a counter of 13. The counter ticks down as you keep sending and cycling bobbins, and at 0 each one becomes a navy 50 for the night-sky background.
Why does the navy 4 / cyan 0 pair keep coming back?
Its last navy pixels are the dark shading inside the cowl's eyes, which only open near the end. Park it and resend it once the head is mostly cleared.
How do the purple crates work in Level 869?
The two crates in the middle columns start at 4; each time the spot above one empties, it pushes up a new bobbin (yellow 10 and black 30 come out first) and its number drops. When a crate is spent it breaks open and the column below moves up, and its bobbins make cheap sends while the ice counters tick down.
