Yarn Loop level guide
Yarn Loop Level 870 Walkthrough
Clear a rainbow umbrella held over red rain boots in the rain, framed by rows of colored beads, while managing several three-piece linked chains.
Verified Board Notes
- Initial Layout Geometry
- A rainbow umbrella (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple panels with a pink rim) on a black handle sits above two red rain boots, with cyan raindrops over light gray, beige and gray backdrop. A row of rainbow beads runs along the top and bottom edges. The supply has four columns, with linked pairs such as yellow 30 / red 20 and cyan 20 / blue 20 at the top.
- Goal / Target Area
- Clear the bead rows and the outer backdrop first, then the boots and the outer umbrella bands, and finish with the yellow and green panels in the middle.
- Opening Moves
- Linked yellow 30 / red 20, then linked cyan 20 / blue 20 (returns as cyan 15 / blue 0), then orange 40, red 30, beige 20, gray 30 and pink 10 on the beads and outer edges.
- Danger Zone
- When the green / yellow / green chain comes back with its yellow 30 still full, it takes three storage slots. With black 10 and red 13 already parked, that fills all five.
- Unique Mechanics
- Rows of rainbow beads frame the top and bottom, and each bead is cleared by its matching color. Several bobbins are linked into three-piece chains (green/yellow/green, orange/black/yellow, green/dark purple/olive) that launch, circle and park together. That means a chain can be stuck when one of its colors has no open target.
Storage: the five slots where returning bobbins park until their color is reachable again. Linked: bobbins joined by a bar leave together and take one track place each.
Quick Tips for Level 870
- Before sending a three-piece chain, check that every color in it has an exposed target. Otherwise the stalled color drags the whole chain back into storage.
- Use each new color on the bead rows early; they are the outermost stitches and clear quickly.
- The yellow panel opens last, after the cyan rain and gray backdrop beneath it are gone, so do not count on the yellow 30s before then.
How to Solve Yarn Loop Level 870 — Full Solution
- Send the linked yellow 30 / red 20 pair from the third supply column first. Both colors start on the row of rainbow beads along the bottom edge, and red also bites into the red rain boots. Then send the linked cyan 20 / blue 20 pair from the second column. Blue takes the blue beads and comes back empty, and the pair parks in storage as cyan 15 / blue 0.
- Send orange 40 and red 30 for the orange and red beads and the outer orange and red bands of the umbrella. Then send beige 20 and gray 30 for the beige and gray backdrop on the right, and pink 10 for the pink stitches along the upper-right rim of the umbrella.
- Treat the two bead rows as part of the picture. Every bead is eaten by its matching color, so each new color you send also chips at the beads. The bottom row goes first, while the top row hangs on until its last green beads are taken and the whole strip dissolves.
- Work the backdrop around the boots with the light gray 40 and 50 bobbins and the linked beige 30 pairs, using cyan on the raindrops as they reach the edge. Send black 20 and 10 into the black umbrella handle and the black boot soles once they touch open space.
- Send the linked purple 30 / gray 30 pair into the purple panel at the top right, and save the dark purple 10 for the dark purple tip above it. Blue 20 and 30 follow into the blue panel beside it.
- The green 20 / yellow 30 / green 20 bobbins are linked into one three-piece chain. The green ends eat the green panel, but the yellow 30 stays at 30 because the yellow panel is still walled in by orange, cyan and gray. When the chain comes back it takes three storage slots.
- This is the jam point. With black 10 and red 13 already parked, the returning chain fills all five storage slots. Before you send the chain again, clear one of the single leftovers back onto the track, and keep the chain moving rather than parking it.
- Send the red 40 and 50 bobbins into the boots and the red top band, and send the orange 50 / black 10 / yellow 30 chain (another three-piece link) once the orange band and the handle are both reachable. Keep pulling cyan and gray off the area under the umbrella.
- Once the cyan rain and gray backdrop under the yellow panel are gone, the yellow 30s in both chains finally start draining. Recycle the chains until the yellow panel shrinks to a few columns on the left.
- Use the olive 20 bobbins on the yellow-green stitches along the left edge of the yellow panel and the dark green 10s on the dark green edge of the green panel. A green / dark purple / olive chain clears the last purple bits and olive stitches together.
- The last supply bobbins are a yellow 10 and a dark green 10. Send them into the final yellow and green pixels at the center while the remaining chain pieces finish.
Colors in this level:
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Dark green, Olive, Blue, Cyan, Purple, Dark purple, Pink, Black, Light gray, Gray, Beige
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Parking the green / yellow / green chain while black 10 and red 13 are already in storage, which fills all five slots.
- Expecting the yellow 30 inside a chain to drain while the yellow panel is still surrounded.
- Ignoring the bead rows and then finding single beads holding up a color.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Level 870 marked Super Hard?
It is a long board with 15 colors and several three-piece linked chains. A chain whose yellow has no target comes back to storage and takes three slots at once.
What are the bead rows on the edges?
They are the outer layer of the picture. Each bead is cleared by a bobbin of its color, and the top strip disappears once its last beads are taken.
When should I send the orange 50 / black 10 / yellow 30 chain in Level 870?
Send it once the orange band and the black handle are both reachable. Its yellow 30 will not drain until the cyan rain and gray backdrop under the yellow panel are gone, so keep pulling cyan and gray off that area and keep the chain moving instead of parking it.
